Welcome! My
name is Mike Elkins and I am a third-generation owner of Rittenhouse
Electric, the company that owns and operates
Hand Blown Lighting.com. Founded by my grandfather in 1957,
Rittenhouse Electric is a boutique lighting showroom and electrical counter
located in the heart of Philadelphia's historic Main Line.
Following my passion for the artistry, beauty, and brilliance of hand blown glass, I have created this website to display and offer the world's most exquisite lighting fixtures. These works of art are for the discriminating buyer who wants nothing less than the best. Each piece of glass, from simple pendant diffusers to complex chandelier arms and bobeches, is hand made by a single artisan. Most pieces are even signed by the artisans themselves.
